Feeling drained as days get shorter? Discover 5 simple ways to boost your energy and shake off autumn fatigue.

As the summer heat slowly leaves us and mornings get darker, do you find it harder to get out of bed, tossing and turning? You're not alone! Many people feel more tired, down, and unmotivated during seasonal changes. 😴
At Fortune Fairy, we've put together 5 energy-boosting tips and the reasons behind this heavy feeling:

1. Let the daylight in!

As days get shorter, your sleep-wake cycle may be disrupted. The less daylight, the more melatonin our brain produces, making us sleepier and lazier.

It's time to open those blinds and curtains! Let more sunlight into your home and try to get natural daylight as much as possible. 🌞 During lunch breaks or whenever you can, go outside for short walks and deep breaths.

2. Get a good night's sleep

A solid, uninterrupted sleep is crucial in fighting seasonal tiredness. Yes, you might feel sleepy enough to hibernate during the day, but daytime naps only make you lazier. So try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Aim for about 8 hours.

Make sure your bedroom is clean, tidy, in calming colors, and quiet. Keep electronics out as much as possible, and maybe use soothing essential oils like lavender or ylang-ylang to help you relax.

3. Exercise regularly

We know exercise is the last thing you want to do in this weather. But once you do it, you'll be amazed at how energized and relaxed you feel afterward. Regular exercise after work or in the evening will help you shake off the day's fatigue and sleep better at night. ⛹🏾‍♀️ 🧘🏻‍♂️

This is the perfect time to start a new activity or return to one you've missed. It could be yoga, pilates, dance, tennis, or a run on the beach. And guys, why not call your friends and plan a soccer game?

4. Learn to relax

You're constantly under pressure to catch up, get things done on time. You're overwhelmed and bored. With endless worries and traffic on top, you can't take it anymore. But dwelling on it won't help. So change your routine and add something that relaxes you both physically and mentally. Maybe yoga, meditation, or a few breathing exercises before bed. Why not? 🧘🏻‍♀️

5. Eat right

Being very thin or very overweight directly affects your life and mood. It also affects your energy levels, making you feel very sleepy or tired. As the weather cools, the greens and fruits we ate in summer may be replaced by pasta and potatoes. Be careful! Continue to eat a balanced and healthy diet. 🥗 With hunting season over, a delicious baked fish with seasonal vegetables will add joy to these autumn evenings. Watch out for sweet cravings! You'll want sweets and chocolate more than ever. Don't give in every time. Dried fruits or a small ice cream will easily satisfy your craving.

And finally, remember: no matter the weather, keep your own spirits high! :) 🏖
